Prison To Host Job Fair

WINNFIELD, La. – With many Louisianans are still looking for work, the Corrections Corporation of America has organized a hiring event for its Winn Correctional Center in Winnfield on Thursday, July 19.

Positions vary, but include correctional officers, medical staff and instructors for vocational courses.

Event organizers say interested applicants should arrive at the Huey P. Long Technical College, 5960 Highway 167 North in Winnfield, between 8 a.m. and 2 p.m. with their driver's license, high school diploma or GED, social security number and a resume.

Candidates must be at least 20 years old and should come dressed for an interview.

Interviews will be conducted onsite for correctional officer applicants. Applicants for other positions will have interviews scheduled at one of the facilities for a later date.
