Morning News Anchor/Multimedia Journalist

Morning News Anchor/Multimedia Journalist

KALB News Channel 5 HD is looking for a full-time Morning Anchor/Multimedia Journalist.

The function of an Anchor/Multimedia Journalist is to develop story ideas for television, online, and mobile applications that reach our target audience.

You will turn those ideas into well-written and visually compelling stories.

In addition, you will anchor daily live newscasts.

You must be willing to shoot and edit your own work with Panasonic P2 cameras in a high definition, digital editing environment, and post your work online to our station website.

You should have excellent people skills, work well under pressure and have an extensive knowledge of local, state, national and world events.

We are looking for someone who will generate their own story ideas rather than waiting for the press release!

Excellent news judgment is a must, along with experience in a live television environment. Send resume and samples of your work to: Keith Weiss News Director KALB-TV 605 Washington Street Alexandria, LA 71301 or via e-mail: kweiss@kalb.com.

NO PHONE CALLS, PLEASE. We regret that we will only be able to respond to those applicants in whom we have an interest. KALB-TV is a Hoak Media Company, an equal opportunity employer.
