Remnants of a stationary front continue to meander over Central Louisiana. As this old front stalls out, rain chances will decrease significantly during the next couple of days. A ridge of High Pressure will move into our area and become anchored over the Lower Mississippi River Valley for the next several days. With High Pressure, comes clear skies, light & variable winds and low rain chances. This pattern is typical during the summer months. So, we will only see a slight chance for showers and thunderstorms during the afternoon. This Ridge will move out of the area throughout the overnight hours and tomorrow. Temperatures will be on the rise and Humidity values will stay high. This will keep our Heat Index ranging from 100-108 throughout the next couple of days. Winds will be light and variable with high humidity values.
