As we begin a new business week the weather pattern is returning to typical July standards. Highs Monday reached the lower to middle 90s at most locations, but a few upper 80s were noted at Opelousas and Marksville.
Most folks received rain sometime between Thursday evening and Sunday but the coverage Monday decreased. Near Deville, however, a sudden thunderstorm brought two inches of rain and some small hail. A hot high pressure cell aloft will drift southward over the next several days and this will serve to keep rain chances low and send daytime max temps back into the upper 90s or lower 100s by the weekend.
Have a good one.
