NEW ORLEANS, La. - A New Orleans landmark is gone. A fire destroyed Hubig's Pies before dawn Friday.
At least 32 trucks and 90 firefighters battled the blaze. The Simon Hubig Pie Company was founded in Fort Worth, Texas in the 1910s. But, the New Orleans location was the company's last factory which opened in 1922.
The company's individually-wrapped fried fruit pies are some of the best-known treats in city.
It's unclear what started the fire, and no injuries were reported.
