ALEXANDRIA, La. - A group of soldiers at Camp Beauregard are undergoing a new taser training and certification program.
This is the first time tasers have been issued to a unit in the Louisiana National Guard.
When the taser gun is shot, 1,200 volts enters a person's body, which is less than a defibrillator.
The soldiers say they are glad they now have another tool to use.
