Combined with the dressage portion and Phillips' perfect score in cross country riding Monday, she and her teammates won the silver medal behind Germany.

Her mother, Princess Anne, the European champion in 1971, was joined by Camilla Parker-Bowles, Duchess of Cornwall during the event. Princes William and Harry and William's wife, Kate, were also on hand to see their cousin compete in the show jumping final segment of the three-day event on Tuesday.

Her horse, High Kingdom, knocked down the second fence, costing her four penalty points.

The rest of her run was clean but a bit over the 83-second limit.

Britain's final score was 4 and one-half points higher than Germany's score.

In equestrian events, the lowest penalty score wins.
