PINEVILLE, La. - A Pineville mom has been arrested for leaving her baby inside of a parked car in 90 degree temperatures.
Pineville police say they were called to the Super One Foods on the Cottingham Expressway by a woman who found a baby crying inside of a parked car.
The window on the car was partially open. Police say 26-year-old Tawny Arnett is the baby's mother. Arnett says she went inside the store to get a drink.
Police say the baby was left in 94 degree heat for over half an hour. Arnett was arrested for child desertion and cruelty to a juvenile.
