Foster Father Indicted For Murder In Toddler's Death

HAMMOND, La. - A Hammond man has been indicted for first-degree murder in the death of his 3-year-old foster daughter.

Mark Johnson, 51, of 42265 Jefferson Drive in Hammond, was indicted last week by a Tangipahoa Parish grand jury for the death of three-year-old Faith Saucier. She was in his foster care when she died from blunt force trauma to her body in April 2011. 

Following indictment, Johnson was ordered to be held without bond. He was booked into the Tangipahoa Parish Prison.
