ALEXANDRIA, La. - Cenla shoppers had a chance to get a little tax break over the weekend, as people were out and about for tax-free shopping.
John Ward Interiors on Metro Drive said customers poured in Friday and Saturday, taking advantage of some big ticket items like furniture, decor and even some designer backpacks for the new school year.
Co-owner Kathy Ward said both customers and retailers get to reap the benefits of a tax break.
