ALEXANDRIA, La. – A new economic report shows that Alexandria is leading the nation in earnings growth.
Garner Economic Research Company reported that Alexandria had an average weekly earning of almost $800 dollars in February, placing the city 70th in the country, which is ahead of some other bigger cities like Miami, San Antonio and even Las Vegas.
Area economists say companies like Union Tank are hiring people and recent construction projects in the area had a lot to do with the numbers.
