Aces: We Need Your Support

Posted: Updated:

ALEXANDRIA, La. – On Monday, Eric Moran, president and CEO of Aces Baseball, released the following statement regarding the future of the team and petitioning support from the community for Bringhurst Field:

"The Alexandria Aces and Bringhurst Field need your help along with the central Louisiana community. Due to the city's recent actions, Aces' fans and Bringhurst Field supporters must show their commitment to Bringhurst Field and the Aces, if they want positives to come from the recent city decision to close Bringhurst Field down after the Aces' season for future developments/decisions.

The final two home games for the Aces for the 2012 TCL Season:

  • The City of Pineville is hosting "Pack the Park" Night, free admission on Thursday night, Aug. 9, versus the Cane Cutters.

  • Kisatchie National Forest is sponsoring Kisatchie National Forest/Smokey the Bear Aces' Team Photos Night, Saturday, Aug. 11. The first 500 fans will receive a 2012 Aces' team photo that night.

These last two games may be the last two Aces' games that will be played at Bringhurst Field, as you know it today. We are asking all of central Louisiana to show your support of the Aces and Bringhurst Field to help make the city's decision to keep Bringhurst Field open for future events.

I appreciate all the support that the local media provides for the Aces and our organization would like to thank you all for your help and support to make the Aces successful."
