LEESVILLE, La. - According to state police, the city's former police chief Bobby Hickman took funds from the Leesville Police Foundation's D.A.R.E. program when he was working at the department.
He was charged with a felony theft of over $1,500 and malfeasance in office.
Hickman voluntarily surrendered himself to the state police at the Vernon Parish Sheriff's Office and was booked into the Vernon Parish Jail.
