Discussion
Today, a stationary front continues to fizzle out over the area. This is
providing enough instability for some rain chances. This front will fizzle out
completely on Thursday. Just as this front dissipates, a secondary front will
be moving toward our area. This will push rain chances up through the weekend.
Winds will remain light to moderate and out of the South & SW.
For the rest of the day
Expect partly cloudy skies with In & Out cloud cover through the afternoon,
becoming mostly cloudy at times. There will also be a chance for Scattered
Showers and a few thunderstorms throughout the area as this stationary front
continues to fizzle out. However, rain chances will remain constant through
Thursday. Conditions will continue to be more seasonable today and tomorrow.
This means that it will remain Hot & Humid, with Temperatures in the 90's
and expected heat index values ranging from 100-105. There will be a light and
variable wind and gradually increasing rain chances through the next couple of
days, before a front comes through the area.
For the rest of the 7day planner
Through Tomorrow, expect to see seasonable conditions as a front fizzles out.
Through the weekend and into the beginning of the work week, expect to see
likely rain chances and increasing clouds as the next front moves through the
area. With more cloud cover and expected rain, temperatures will top out in the
lower 90's until this event is over. Some areas could see locally heavy
rainfall. However, severe weather is not expected at this time.
TODAY...Partly
cloudy skies with In & Out clouds and hot with a chance (30%) for showers
and thunderstorms. Highs 93-99. The peak heat index may reach 107. S/SW wind
3-10 mph, except stronger and variable near storms.
WEDNESDAY NIGHT...Fair to partly cloudy skies and muggy. Lows 73-79. Light & Variable winds.
