RAPIDES PARISH, La.--Students in Rapides Parish head back this Friday, but teachers are already getting ready for the school year.
Cherokee Elementary teachers got a "welcome back" present of sorts.
These chickens were proudly displayed on the front lawn, with a sign saying "welcome back Cherokee chicks!"
It was a fun way to welcome all teachers back and get them inspired for a fun year.
