ALEXANDRIA, La--The slate of candidates for Louisiana's November 6th election will be clear at the end of this week.
The official qualifying period started Wednesday morning.
Candidates must file paperwork and pay their fees by Friday if they want to run for the list of state and local offices on the Fall ballot.
After the presidential race, Louisiana's six U.S. House seats will be at the top of the ballot.
U.S. Representative Rodney Alexander was among the first candidates qualifying for a state race. Alexander is seeking a sixth term. He has no announced challengers so far.
