BATON ROUGE, La--Thursday afternoon, Governor Jindal spoke about the death of two St. John Parish Deputies, and ordered all flags be lowered to half-staff.
"Supriya and I were saddened to hear the news this morning about this terrible act of violence. Our thoughts and prayers are with the victims and their families. The men and women of our law enforcement are heroes who run towards danger, not away from it, so that we can be safe," the Governor said.
Jindal has also ordered the state flags to be flown at half-staff over the state capitol and all public buildings and institutions until sunset Friday.
