A stationary front is currently situated over the Southeastern U.S. This front is what has been bringing us so much rain today. The front will remain stalled over CenLa through most of Sunday, before a piece of energy "kicks" it to the east.
After the front moves through the area, we can expect to see slightly cooler temperatures for a few days. Tuesday through Thursday the area will wake up to low temperatures in the mid to upper 60's. High temperatures will also hover around the 90 degree mark.
The air that moves in behind the cold front will also be drier, so you can expect lower humidity values for the beginning of the work week. Weak high pressure will also remain in place through most of next week. This means lower rain chances as well through next weekend.
