AVONDALE, La. -- Police in the greater New Orleans area say they found two young children alive and unharmed in a car where a man and a woman were found shot to death.
It happened around 1 a.m. Saturday morning. The Jefferson Parish Sheriff's Office got a call that two people were in a car, shot multiple times, just off a highway in Avondale.
Deputies say 22-year-old Willie Odom and 19-year-old Shawna Girod were the victims. And the two children, a 4-year-old girl and a 4-month-old boy, who were also in the car, were okay.
Investigators don't have any suspects yet.
