Today there is a slow moving cold front that is continuing to push off of the East Coast. In the wake of this front, a ridge of high pressure is expected to move in to place and provide clearing skies, cooler temperatures and low rain chances.
In the Tropics, eyes are fixed on four different areas of interest in the Atlantic Basin, to include T.S. Gordon and Invest 94 which may develop during the next 48 hours.

Today, a cold front continues to gradually push off of the Gulf Coast. This slow moving front is followed by a ridge of high pressure. Lingering rain chances from this cold front will be in place through this afternoon. Then Dry air aloft, coupled with a ridge of high pressure will knock rain chances down and clear skies out in Central Louisiana. This ridge will remain in place until another cold front moves through and brings rain chances up.
For the rest of the day
Expect mostly sunny to partly cloudy skies with light, in and out cloud cover. Rain chances will be tapering off through the afternoon and into the evening hours as skies clear out and temperatures will be cooler than we have been seeing. Highs will hover around the 90 degree mark. So, pleasant conditions are in the planner for today with skies becoming clear overnight with lows dropping back into the mid to upper 60's. Winds will be light to moderate and variable.

A Ridge of High Pressure will anchor its self over the viewing area throughout midweek, this week. Meanwhile, temperatures will remain around 90 with low rain chances. Come Thursday & Friday, expect rain chances to come up 20/30% with highs in the lower to mid 90's.
TODAY...Expect Mostly sunny skies, becoming partly cloudy at times, Not as Hot conditions and less humidity in the air. Highs 87-93. Calm wind, becoming North 2-12mph.
MONDAY NIGHT...Fair to partly cloudy skies with cooler conditions. Lows 65-72. NE wind 1-8mph.
