BATON ROUGE, La. - Louisiana's new Revenue Secretary Tim Barfield is also one of the top earners on Gov. Bobby Jindal's payroll with a salary of $250,000, which doubles former Revenue Secretary Cynthia Bridges.
Recently, The Advocate reported that to hire Barfield, the former chief development officer for Baton Rouge-based Amedisys in the position at more than double the normal pay, the Jindal administration had to create a new position that also names him as "Executive Counsel".
