ALEXANDRIA, La. - An Alexandria homeowner is raking up dead leaves, and she says it could be the fault of the Rapides Sewer District.
Almost two years ago, a contractor of the sewer department dug up a portion of her yard to fix a pipeline.
Now, the oak tree is dying. The homeowner, Brenda Barlow, says she thinks it's because of root damage from the sewer repair.
Barlow says there are falling branches and she thinks it is a hazard for the pedestrians and nearby homes.
Barlow also said she has contacted the board of the sewer district for a month to have the tree cut down, but has gotten limited response.
