ALEXANDRIA, La. - Alexandria City Council will continue talks about a deal with the new owner of the Hotel Bentley.
Mike Jenkins, the man looking to buy the Bentley, is talking with the city about the hotel's future.
A proposal calls for Jenkins to spend $10 million in private capital and provide large scale housing in the form of condos at the hotel.
In return, the city will lease several parking spaces near the hotel to Jenkins and provide planning and utility assistance to get the project off the ground.
The meeting started Tuesday evening and we'll have the update tonight on Nightside at 10 p.m.
