BATON ROUGE, La. - Louisiana State Police said Wednesday morning that a fuel truck wreck that closed I-10 in Baton Rouge will likely stay closed through the night, according to news reports.
A crash on I-10 involving 18-wheelers and a car has shut down the roadway in both directions. State police say three 18-wheelers and an overturned car were involved in the wreck around 3:45 a.m. today. Police say they will not be able to open the road completely until all the chemical is removed. There were at least two injuries reported.
Traffic is unable to access I-10 East or West from Essen or Bluebonnet. I-10 East traffic is being detoured to I-12 East at the I-10/I-12 split, and I-10 West traffic is being detoured off the interstate at Siegen.
