ALEXANDRIA, La. - Improvements could soon be coming to Frank O. Hunter Park.
The Alexandria City Council voted Tuesday night to open bids at the beginning of October for the project. The plans call for increased parking, drainage improvements and replacing the baseball field and tennis courts with a football field and practice field.
The work is scheduled to be completed in about 180 working days. The council also approved a $1.2 million budget for the improvements.
