VERNON PARISH, La.—Investigators say after discovering a meth lab in a Leesville man's home, the suspect told them somebody must have broken in and set it up without his knowledge.

Investigators say Malmstrom told them that "an unknown person" broke into his home, constructed and activated the meth lab "without his knowledge."

Malmstrom was arrested on one count of Operation of a Clandestine Laboratory, one count of Possession of Schedule II Narcotics with the Intent to Distribute, one count of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, one count of Possession of Marijuana, one count of Possession of Schedule III Narcotics, one Count of Resisting an Officer, and one count of Criminal Conspiracy to Operate a Clandestine Laboratory.

Malmstrom is in jail on a $ 59,850.00 bond.
