Overview
Tropical Storm Isaac continues to move through Central Louisiana, today. In the wake of this storm, a plume of Moisture will be moving through our area and providing a lot of instability to our area. This means that in the wake of Isaac, this plume of moisture and added instability will bring continued rain chances to our area. Remnants of Isaac will move out completely by Saturday. So, conditions will return to normal by Sunday and the beginning of the work week.
Elsewhere in the Tropics, Forecasters are watching three different areas of interest in the Atlantic Basin, to include Tropical Storm Isaac, Hurricane Kirk and Tropical Storm Leslie.

Discussion
Our weather through the next couple of days depends heavily on how Isaac acts. This system is beginning to pick up some speed and holding on as a minimum Tropical Storm. During the next couple of days, Isaac will leave our area and dissipate. In the wake of Isaac, a plume of tropical air will move into our area and bring continued rain chances with it. After this extremely moist air mass moves out of Central Louisiana, we will see conditions return back to normal. Highs in the lower to mid 90's. Heat Index values ranging from 100-105 and partly cloudy skies with chance for scattered afternoon convection.

For the rest of the day
Expect mostly cloudy to overcast conditions with off/on showers and thunderstorms as Isaac continues to move North and out of our area. There could be another round of late rain as the most southern band of Isaac moves through our area. Otherwise, expect rain chances to begin tapering off. Highs will settle in the 80's and winds will be light to moderate and variable.  Though most of our viewing area has been lifted from the Tropical Storm Warnings, could see more affects from this storm before it completely moves out of the area.

For the rest of the 7day planner
Isaac will move out of the area completely during the weekend. Come Sunday, expect conditions to begin returning back to normal. The 7day planner brings with it, tapering rain chances and warming conditions through Saturday. On Sunday, expect partly cloudy skies with a chance for rain and temps in the 90's with a lot of humidity.

TODAY...Remnants of Isaac will remain in the area with high wind and continued rain throughout the day. This T.S. will continue to move through Central Louisiana today. Expect mostly cloudy to overcast skies with a definite chance for showers (100%). Winds will be 10-22mph gusting to 30 in some areas.

THURSDAY NIGHT...Mostly cloudy skies with off/on rain and breezy conditions. Lows in the 70s with S/SE wind 10-15 mph.
