
RAPIDES PARISH, La. - According to the Rapides Parish Homeland Security Office, the parish's highway department has closed the following roads Friday at 12 p.m. due to high water:
In addition, all following streets are now open, according to officials Friday afternoon, with the exception of the eastbound outside lane of Lee Street at the intersection of Memorial Drive:
These roadways should return to normal once the rain is out of our area.
Please respect the barricades and emergency vehicles in and around these areas.
Police say the best rule to follow is if you can't see the road, don't drive on it.
