ALEXANDRIA, LA.- Another neighborhood here in CenLa that got more than its share of damage from this mornings storm was the north side of the Martin Park neighborhood.
Neighbors say there was flooding caused by overflow from a canal behind some of the houses. The water level on one side of the street rose to the bottom of their car doors. Some neighbors put sandbags around their homes - just in case.
There were a number of trees and tree limbs on the ground as well as a few leaky roofs in the neighborhood. Folks told us they're used to cleaning up branches after storm's like this - it comes with the territory because there are a lot of old oak trees in Martin Park.
