A ridge of High Pressure is anchoring its self over our area. This will stay in
place for the next several days. Elsewhere, remnants of Isaac are continuing to
push toward the east coast and a Low Pressure System will be developing over
the Northern Plains.
In the Tropics, Forecasters are watching

Discussion
Through the next several days a ridge of high pressure will remain anchored
over our viewing. This will bring us plenty of sunshine and warming
temperatures. Highs are expected to reach the upper 90's by midweek. After
Wednesday, expect to see gradually increasing clouds and slowly rising rain
chances. However for the next couple of days, expect that "Typical Summertime
Pattern" to dominate the forecast for Central Louisiana. Rain chances will
remain low with only a few stray showers working into the forecast for most of
the week.
For the rest of the day
Expect plenty of sunshine with light, In & Out cloud cover and a Hot &
Humid Labor Day. Highs will climb well into the 90's with high humidity values.
This will push the Heat Index into the100-105 degree range. Rain chances will
be low and it will feel more like summer with a High UV-Cast as well.
There are currently several Heat Advisories in effect for Central Louisiana.
