A ridge of High Pressure is anchoring its self over our area. This will stay in place for the next several days. Elsewhere, remnants of Isaac are continuing to push toward the east coast and a Low Pressure System will be developing over the Northern Plains.
In the Tropics, Forecasters are watching two different areas of interest in the Atlantic Basin, to include Tropical Storm Leslie.

Through the next several days a ridge of high pressure will remain anchored over our viewing. This will bring us plenty of sunshine and warming temperatures. Highs are expected to reach the upper 90's by midweek. After Wednesday, expect to see gradually increasing clouds and slowly rising rain chances. However for the next couple of days, expect that "Typical Summertime Pattern" to dominate the forecast for Central Louisiana. Rain chances will remain low with only a few stray showers working into the forecast for most of the week.
For the rest of the day
