Overview
Today, there is a Cold front that is moving toward the East coast and slowing down. A LPS is developing in the CPlains and a secondary LPS is moving South, over the GoM and could begin developing Tropical Characteristics. Elsewhere a ridge of High Pressure is anchored over much of the SE U.S.
In the tropics there are Two different areas of interest, in the Atlantic Basin to include Hurricane Leslie & Michael.

Discussion
For the next couple of days our weather will be under the influence of the High Pressure Ridge. As usual, this high pressure will bring with it clear skies (with only a few light clouds), a warming trend and Light & Variable winds with low rain chances. These conditions will continue through Thursday. During the later part of the week, expect gradually increasing clouds and rising rain chances in advance of an approaching cold front that will move through on Saturday.

For the rest of the day
Expect plenty of sunshine with a few clouds possible throughout the afternoon hours. Conditions will become partly cloudy at times, with almost no chance for rain. Highs will rise well into the 90's and Heat Index values will range from 102-108. Winds will be light to moderate and variable.

For the rest of the 7day planner
Through the later part of the week, expect to see rain chances remain low with abundant sunshine. Come Thursday and Friday, expect gradually increasing clouds and rising rain chances. This weekend will bring with it, a cold front. This means good rain chances, followed by clearing skies and cooler temperatures, come Sunday. However, for the next couple of days, conditions will be HOT & HUMID with Heat Index values ranging from 102-110.  If you spend an extended amount time in the sun today, drink plenty of water.

TODAY...Some early fog, otherwise mostly sunny to partly cloudy and hot. Highs 94-101. The peak heat index may reach 110. W/NW wind 2-12 mph. A stray shower or thunderstorm is possible, today.

WEDNESDAY NIGHT...Fair to partly cloudy with a stray shower or thunderstorm prior to midnight. Lows 72-77. Little to no wind.
