A ridge of High Pressure is anchored over our region. A cold front is stretched from the Great Lakes Region, through the Central Plains and into the Southern Plains. This front is producing a lot of heavy rainfall and a slight risk for severe weather to parts of the Northern half of the nation. In the wake of this front is a strong ridge of high pressure and some cool, dry and dense Canadian air.

For the rest of the day and overnight, out weather will be under the influence of a High Pressure Ridge.
