ALEXANDRIA, La. - A fundraiser was held at Bistro on the Bayou Monday night to benefit the Rapides CASA program, which helps kids who are going through the court system.
Cenla businesses donated more than 50 items that raised several thousand dollars in a silent auction.
CASA's executive director told us with the help of generous contributions the non-profit can continue to provide help to those who need it most.
"The money that we raise tonight will go strictly to operating cost to provide us the opportunity next year to utilize or continue to utilize our mobile unit and work with children throughout all Central Louisiana who have been abused or neglected," said Wade Bond, executive director.
