Local Man Sold Crack Cocaine

Posted: Updated:

ALEXANDRIA, La. – Detectives say they found $600 worth of crack cocaine in Albert Herron, Jr.'s home Wednesday.

On Sept. 12, the Rapides Parish Sheriff's Office Metro Division obtained a warrant to search Herron's home at 1655 Karla Street, Apt. 3 in Alexandria.

Detectives say they started the investigation because a few weeks ago, they received numerous phone complaints about suspected drug sales in the apartment complex.

Herron was charged with possession of CDS II to distribute crack cocaine. He booked into the Rapides Parish Jail where he is being held on a $20,000 bond and probation violation. He also has two contempt of court warrants.
