EUNICE, La. -- Shreveport police have captured a Eunice man on the run, suspected of murdering his wife.
Police tell us they received a call around midnight Friday that a woman was found dead in her home on Prairie Avenue.
Investigators believed her husband, Robert Lee Heard, was responsible. But, he fled the scene.
According to police, Heard has a lengthy criminal record including an arrest for second degree murder in California and attempted first degree murder in Shreveport. He was just released from prison last year.
Shreveport police tracked him down Saturday morning. He was arrested and is being transferred back to Eunice.
