Red River Arts and Crafts Fair

Posted: Updated:

ALEXANDRIA, La. - With the holiday season coming up, Cenla is buying, and selling, for all your autumn needs.

The Red River Arts and Crafts Guild hosted its fall show today at the Coliseum Expo Hall.

All pieces sold are required to be handmade by the vendor, meaning each and every gift is guaranteed to be unique.

From home decor to fine jewelry, and even some hand-crafted toys for the kids.

Donations were also accepted for the Food Bank.

Members of the guild say it was the perfect way to show off their hard work.

Well it's a way to give to the public a big view of what we do," guild president Jack Brossette. "Everybody gets an idea of what different people in the area make. Most of the people here are senior adults, this is sort of our hobby and what we do to occupy our time."

If you missed today's show, you can be sure to do your holiday shopping at the Christmas fair coming up.
