PINEVILLE, La – An early Monday morning a single-vehicle crash seriously injured a woman from Pineville.
According to reports, troopers were on the scene around 12:02 a.m., which happened on La. Hwy 474, west of U.S. Hwy 171.
The crash involved a 2007 Chevrolet pickup, driven by 34-year-old Allison S. Valentine. Police say the Chevrolet was westbound on La. Hwy 474 when Valentine lost control and exited the right side of the roadway. After exiting the roadway, the vehicle collided with a tree.
Valentine was not wearing her seatbelt and received serious injuries, police say. She was transported to Sabine Medical Center for treatment.
The routine toxicology tests are pending and the crash remains under investigation.
