ALEXANDRIA, La. - During the first week of September, the Louisiana Housing Alliance (LHA) has begun hosting a state-wide Listening Tour in several parishes in Louisiana.
The tour will visit Alexandria Sept. 19 at the Bolton Avenue Community Center, 315 Bolton Ave, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.
The purpose of the Listening Tour is to foster a relationship with groups who have an interest in addressing and improving the housing needs of the citizens of Louisiana- particularly for low income families, and people with disabilities.
The tour also provides a platform for the Louisiana Housing Alliance to identify, create and prioritize policies that will have a positive impact on addressing and improving housing on a statewide level.
