LEESVILLE, La. – A mother was charged and arrested after stealing from a Dollar General store and leaving her child behind.

On Sept. 10, officers responded to a call that a child was lost at the Dollar General store on Boone Street. Police say the child had been left by the mother, Camilia Holloway, 25, of Leesville, who also left with stolen items from the store.

Officers discovered that Holloway had a history of theft and other criminal activity. She had three outstanding warrants for her arrest. Two of the warrants were a result of an incident that happened in March. According to police reports, Holloway entered an apartment without consent and items belonging to the homeowner were damaged.

The third outstanding warrant was from a shoplifting incident in June 6 at the Dollar General store on Boone Street.

Officers found Holloway and charged her with unauthorized entry of an inhabited dwelling and criminal damage to property from March incident, theft by shoplifting from the June incident and theft by shoplifting and child desertion from the September incident. Holloway's total bond is $10,500.
