Welcome rain fell across all of central Louisiana Monday. Everyone I talked to received rain so it looks this was a 100% event. Locally heavy rain occurred at several locations with Woodworth measuring 2.25 inches, Dana Drive in Pineville 2.10, and Pinr Prairie in Evangeline Parish 2.00 inches. There was a zone from Fort Polk through the Union Hill and Glenmora areas that apparently only saw less than one-half of an inch.
An upper-level system moved into central Louisiana from east Texas and this triggered the rain. Off/on rain will continue through much of Tuesday ahead of the much-anticipated cold front. You'll really feel the front by Wednesday morning when lows fall back into the 50s. Fall returns!
I'll post an updated blog on Cenla weather Tuesday.
