NATCHITOCHES, La. - According to Natchitoches Police Department, human remains were found over the weekend.
On Sept. 15, officers were called to 1207 Texas St. after some human remains were found in a houseboat that was on a trailer parked next to the building.
Officers say the remains were severely decomposed and the cause of death was not apparent.
The remains have been sent to the medical examiner for an autopsy to determine the cause of death and to verify the identity of the person.
