More rain fell across most of Cenla overnight Monday and Tuesday morning. With these totals added to Monday morning's rain, some areas saw quite a bit. The highest totals came from Woodworth with 3.75 inches, Moreauville with 3.30, and Big Island with 3.00 inches. Marksville measured 2.91 for honorable mention. Folks said the rain was welcome.
The rain was ahead of a cold front that will move through Cenla Tuesday night. This will bring a change toward fall conditions with lows in the 50s and highs in the 80s. In fact, the lowest readings Thursday morning could fall to 48 or 49 degrees, something not seen since late April. The most likely points for the 40s would be the Winnfield-Olla-Jena corridor. Everyone says they are looking forward to the return of lower humidity and cool nights.
I'll post an update Wednesday.
