ALEXANDRIA, La. - The Alexandria Zoo's annual Les Fest event it begins Thursday night with an adults-only event that will include a live band, food and drinks from local restaurants and a silent auction.
This event is held in memory of former longtime zoo director Les Whitt.
There will also be animal demonstrations and a presentation on everything that's going on at the zoo.
All proceeds from the event benefit the Friends of the Alexandria Zoo organization, which funds many projects and events throughout the year.
