I've just spoken to the weather watchers and they all agreed that the weather lately has been glorious. Thursday morning was the coolest since late April. A few readings fell into the upper 40s, with Leesville, Fullerton, Fairfield, and Jena all at 49 degrees. The warmest thermometers were in the middle 50s at Jonesville, DG Hunter Power Plant, and Opelousas. These temperatures were not in record territory; we have 47 degrees in the books in 1903 and 48 degrees in 1981 onthis date.
Friday morning will see temperatures about 2-5 degrees higher, but it will still be comfortable. Enjoy the nice pattern while it lasts.
