RAPIDES PARISH, La. - The library wants you to know, it's not just good for the readers out there. You can pick up DVD's too.
Netflix is convenient, RedBox is cheap, but the Rapides Parish Library is free and open to all residents.
And now, they say they've got more than 7,000 DVD titles to choose from.
All you need is a library card, and you have access to everything from documentaries to blockbusters.
The downside? You might be on a waiting list for more popular titles.
But librarians say, it's worth the wait.
Jana Fryday, RPL: "The economy's tough right now. Everybody's looking for ways to save money. But everybody wants their entertainment still. This is one way that you can still get your entertainment. You can still see those up and coming films."
If your local branch doesn't have the DVD you want, you can order it from a library nearby.
