Overview
There is a Ridge of High Pressure that is anchored over much of the
Southeastern U.S. and continuing to slide to the East. A LPS (Low Pressure
System) is North of the New England. A cold front is stretched through the GLR
and Ohio River Valley and into the Southern & Central Plains. This front is
slow moving and will continue to bring a Likely chance for ran to affected
areas.

Discussion
A ridge of High Pressure is anchored over our region and will continue to
influence conditions in Central Louisiana through midweek. This pressure will
begin to start breaking down on Friday as it moves to the East. Until then,
expect a mostly sunny to partly cloudy skies with low rain chances and
seasonably warm temperatures. Overnight we could see another round for patchy
AM fog/haze that will burn off early. Another LPS will develop in the Central
Plains and move into our area bringing with it, a good chance for rain. This
will be during the weekend.
For the rest of the day
Expect mostly sunny to partly cloudy skies with warmer conditions. Highs will
climb to the upper 80's and lower 90's. Expect muggy conditions with a light to
moderate wind out of the South. (There will not be enough moisture + heat for
significant Heat Index values.) Overnight, lows will drop into the 60's and be
comfortable with patchy fog developing throughout the early morning hours
(Before Sunrise).
For the rest of the 7day planner
A mix of sunshine and some cloud cover with warm temperatures will continue
through Thursday. Then we will begin to see gradually increasing clouds, rising
rain chances and falling temperatures. All of this will be in advance of an
approaching cold front. This front will move through during the weekend and
bring a good chance for showers and thunderstorms.
TODAY...Early fog that will be dense in some
areas. Otherwise, mostly sunny and warm. Highs 86-923. S/SE wind 2-10 mph.
WEDNESDAY NIGHT...Fair
to partly cloudy and mild. Lows 63-69s. SE wind 2-8mph, becoming calm.
