Our forecast us still under the influence of high pressure, and will continue to be for the rest of the work week. Our area is on the western side of a high pressure ridge, which means we're seeing southerly winds coming from the Gulf of Mexico, bringing us warm and slightly more humid air.
For Thursday and Friday we'll keep low rain chances, low temperatures in the upper 60's, and high temperatures in the 90's. the next low pressure system will arrive sometime this weekend, bringing a cold front. As of right now the timing of the system looks to be Saturday and Sunday. Ahead of the front we'll see rain and possibly a few thunderstorms. As of right now, the severe weather threat with this system looks low. The actual cold front should move through on Sunday. A few stray showers may stick around for Monday morning, but other than that we'll see high pressure begin to take over the forecast once again. Next week we can expect low temperatures in the upper 50's again and high temperatures in the mid-80's....nice fall weather for the first week of October!
