Overview
There is a Ridge of High Pressure that is anchored over much of the
Southeastern U.S. and many of the Gulf Coast States. This ridge will continue
to slide to the East. A LPS (Low Pressure
System) is over New England and a cold front is stretched from this LP through
the Ohio River Valley and into the Southern & Central Plains. This front is
slow moving and will continue to bring a Likely chance for rain to affected
areas. In the wake of this system clearing skies and cooler conditions are
digging in.

Discussion
A ridge of High Pressure is anchored over our region and will continue to
influence conditions in Central Louisiana through Friday. This pressure will
begin to start breaking down tomorrow as it moves to the East. Until then,
expect a mostly sunny to partly cloudy skies with low rain chances and
seasonably warm temperatures. Another LPS will develop in the Central Plains
and move into our area bringing with it, a good chance for rain for the
weekend.
For the rest of the day
Expect mostly sunny to partly cloudy skies with continued warm. Highs will
climb to the upper 80's and lower 90's (seasonably above average). Expect muggy
conditions with a light to moderate wind out of the South and East. Overnight,
skies will become fair to mostly clear, lows will drop into the 60's and
conditions will become mild with some patchy fog developing throughout the
early morning hours (Before Sunrise).
For the rest of the 7day planner
A cold front will begin making its way toward our area as a ridge of high
pressure slides to the East. Due to this approaching system, expect gradually
increasing clouds, coupled with slowly rising rain chances into the weekend.
Saturday & Sunday, expect a likely chance for rain as this system moves
through. In the wake of this system, we will see improving conditions and
temperatures will return to a seasonal feel (mid-80's and not as muggy)
TODAY...Mostly sunny to partly cloudy skies
and seasonably warm conditions. Highs 87-93. Calm, becoming East wind 2-10mph.
THURSDAY NIGHT...
Mostly clear to fair skies and mild. Lows 63-69. Light & Variable winds.
