The next weather-maker will move into our area this weekend, bringing plenty of rain. A cold front will push towards CenLa throughout the day on Saturday bringing a good chance for showers and thunderstorms. The rain sticks around on Sunday too, before tapering off in the evening hours. Overall, we could see 1-2 inches of rain throughout the weekend with this event. While we may see a few thunderstorms, widespread severe weather is not expected.
Once we get the rain out of the way, and the cold front pushes through (Sunday morning) we'll see more comfortable temperatures to start the first week of October. Most of next week will bring us low temperatures in the lower 60's and a couple of nights we should drop into the upper 50's (Tues/Wed). High temperatures will start in the lower 80's on Monday and we'll slowly warm into the upper 80's by the end of next week. Overall, it should be another enjoyable week of fall temperatures!
