ALEXANDRIA, La. - The Ninth Annual Homeless Stand Down will be held Friday on Bolton Avenue.
Sponsored by the VA, the City of Alexandria and Central Louisiana Homeless Coalition, the event is meant to increase the community's awareness of the homeless and provide services to them.
The event will be held at the Bolton Avenue Community Center. It begins at 8:30 a.m. with a short program and will wrap up at 2 p.m.
